About the Residency
Modeled after Noepe’s popular writing residency, which I founded and directed from 2007-2017, we provide writers, at all stages of their career, with time and space to create in a supportive, and generous community.
The beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard has a long history of inspiring writers including James Baldwin, Geraldine Brooks, Dorothy West, William Styron, David McCullough just to name a few.
What’s Included
1-3 week writing residency in Martha’s Vineyard, between March 1-21, 2026
Includes private room/studio in Lambert’s Cove Inn
Locally sourced daily breakfasts and dinners provided by Chef Galen Sampson
Access to Lambert’s Cove Beach, 1/2 mile from the Inn
Ample time to create in an intimate community of writers
Weekly literary gathering and reading
Time to nurture and nourish your creative creativity
Process & Fees
If you are interested in participating in this workshop and retreat, you will be required to complete an application and provide a writing sample.
Once approved, you will be invited to reserve your spot.
Only 7 spaces will be available per week.
Cost: $1,799 per week
50% deposit due at registration. Balance due 45 days before retreat. Deposit is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to retreat. Within 60 days, a refund of 50% will be granted.
