Residencies To Support and Nurture Your Writing Journey
Time, space, and community to help you immerse in your writing practice and find the flow essential to creation.
“We have in us a divine spark. Our practice is to awaken that spark, to give it life, energy, breath.”-- Llewellyn Vaughn Lee
Martha’s Vineyard Writers’ Residency
Writing can be a lonely practice. Since 2007, we’ve welcomed writers into the creative writing community of Martha’s Vineyard.
Community is vital to your creative journey. Among peers, engaged in the same struggle we are, we are recognized, and discover friendship, solidarity—companions connecting us to the vast creative network of writers and writing.
March 1-21, 2026
Choose your week, or weeks, to write on Martha’s Vineyard, in historic Lambert’s Cove Inn, in West Tisbury, Massachusetts. Each resident receives their own room/studio with private bath, as well as access to the common rooms and grounds of the property. Breakfasts and dinners are provided by renowned chef Galen Sampson so you can focus on your work.
“I think of you and Martha’s Vineyard Writers’ Residency often and so fondly. Without you, I truly believe I wouldn’t be (as a writer) where I am today.”
