Don't Think, Write!

In this video, we visit an interview writer Ray Bradbury gave in which he said above his writing desk is a sign, Don't Think. He goes on to talk about how writing is living not thinking.

As a way of answering a question from a writer friend, what did you mean when you said, "don't think, write"? I offer this video.

Being alive at the page is our work. This is the practice. Writing is not thinking; it is living. At the page we are breathing, sensing, feeling. We've got to feel. To think is to lie.
